![]() The benefit of a lot size this big is that it is all on flat land instead of on a sloped surface. The lot size of our property is 6,222 sqft, 2,879 more than our closest competitor. The first floor (Living room + Dining area) is all dance floor during events, excluding the kitchen, restroom, and storage closet. What we lack in room size, we make up for overall facility size. There is 1,884 sqft of live-able area, 207 less than our closest competitor. Most expensive chapter home on campus, highest Zestimate. We own our own chapter home and don't rent the house from a stranger, random party, or company. The first-floor ceiling was reconstructed for added support and raised a foot, making the living room, dining area/dance floors more spacious.Air conditioning was also integrated into the house, eliminating the use of flimsy window units that would also contribute to the sound issue."Blow-in" cellulose insulation, which is also very excellent at dampening the sound throughout the entire house. It would worsen during events because people would overheat and have to step outside to get fresh air this led to people being loud and disruptive, which bothered the neighbors. ![]() The old & worn insulation and degraded, paper-thin wooden side paneling always allowed sound to escape. It eliminated a decades-long sound problem. It is also great for cosmetic purposes, providing a seamless look not to mention it is also an excellent insulator which is great for retaining heat during the winter and keeping cool during the summer. PVC siding is non-combustible, making it safer compared to other building materials. This material does not rot, attract animals, or get wet. The layered paneling that gave our house its signature look was replaced with PVC-based composite. The 2022 renovation that took place revamped our 109-year-old Victorian-style chapter home in these ways: A recent $167,000 renovation donated by our generous alumni guaranteed that our events would last longer. It is unique, serves many functions, and can fit people in every pocket inside and outside the house when used correctly. Out of all fraternities on campus, we have the best & most ergonomic chapter home.Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT) and Sigma Alpha Epsilon ( ΣAΕ) lack chapter homes. To our knowledge, we know only two fraternities on campus with chapter homes. If other fraternities are "rushing" but not tabling, ask them why? Let's hope it's for a good reason! You'll always see us tabling for rush, so you know we are legitimate. We are consistent with our work & respectful to our peers, we don’t deal with frequent campus suspensions.Even their girlfriends can be found at our daygers. Other fraternities pay to attend our venue parties, not the other way around, ask for footage. We have won back to back Rock Chapter awards, the rock chapter award is an award given to Sigma Nu chapters for performing excellent in all business matters ranging from recruitment to philanthropy and everything in between, meaning that we are currently one of the best Sigma Nu chapters nationwide. Our predecessor before we were the Eta Phi chapter of Sigma Nu was founded in the first months of 1950, for more information please read more about us at the "About" tab. We have the oldest network out of all of the social fraternities on campus, although we are the third youngest by technicality. The Sigma Nu network in California is very dense, especially in southern/coastal California, with active and dormant chapters at the following campuses: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UCSB, CSUN, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine, UC Irvine, CSUF, UCSD, SDSU, Fresno State University, SJSU, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, & Chico State University..Here are some reasons why you should rush Sigma Nu at the California State University of Los Angeles: We are the only chapter with a recognized chapter home, and have been situated at our current location since 1971. While SAE is ranked higher than Sigma Nu on a national level in terms of the number of members and number of active chapters, the presence of Sigma Nu at CSULA vastly outweighs our counterpart. ![]() Out of the four fraternities, two are a part of the top 10 social fraternities in North America, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Sigma Nu. At the California State University of Los Angeles, there are four NIC fraternities: Zeta Beta Tau (ZBT), Phi Sigma Kappa (ΦΣK), Sigma Alpha Epsilon (ΣAΕ), and Sigma Nu (ΣN). The North American Interfraternity Council oversees 58 fraternities, all of which have different characteristics and success stories. Social fraternities, which are all of the fraternities seen in popular American culture, are crucial in helping individuals achieve their goals quicker and easier than the average person.
